BPD-Help: Concept Work

Digital Social Media & Advertising Assets

Coming from the UK, I have unwavering gratitude for the NHS; this inspired me to undertake a short concept project, where I pondered what it might be like to have charities that could provide specific information for types of mental health labels. Mental health and the NHS are important to me personally, so channelling my emotions into this project is something I take great pride in.

Referencing is a huge part of the initial phases of my process; I’ll likely start by diving into Pinterest, Dribbble and Behance for inspiration before beginning my own concepts. Just before that though, I like to decide on the theme of the art direction that will take place for the project. I’ll ask myself questions like, ‘who is this for?’, ‘what will the audience want to feel when looking at the final product?’, ‘how can I deliver emotion to an audience with text and image?’, ‘what colour palette will suit the typography I’m using?’. With all this information, I’ll start to develop a vision on the deliverable and start executing ideas, brainstorming, and frequently asking for others’ feedback.
